Annual Winter Waterland Festival

Weeki Wachee Springs

December 12th, 3th, 10th and 20th

Every year, we are always trying to think of unique and different ways to celebrate the holidays.  Well we’ve got a good one for you this year; The Annual Winter Waterland Festival at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.  Located at  6131 Commercial Way, they will be open for this special event from 7:00 until 11:00 p.m. each night.

For almost 60 years, this fun and family oriented park has lured in visitors with beautiful mermaids who swim in the clear, cool spring waters. It is an enchanted spring, the only one of its kind in the world and one of Florida’s oldest and most unique attractions. Weeki Wachee Springs is a magical entrance into a mysterious blue underwater world of mermaids, manatees, turtles and bubbles.

The Winter Waterland Festival will have the park all decorated with lights and all of the holiday’s festive decorations.  There will be special holiday mermaid shows, a live nativity scene, plenty of photos opportunities and much, much more!  Admission is only $6 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under are free.

And on Saturday, December 13th, you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to catch the  29th annual Weeki Wachee River Christmas Boat Parade.  They will light up the harbor as a dazzling array of holiday lights and music fill the air as they depart from Weeki Wachee Marina at 6:30.  Navigating past the judging area at Rogers Park (7244 Shoal Line Blvd., Spring Hill) and then their final destination will be Bayport Pier, it is truly a magical, Florida, holiday tradition for all ages.  You can get a great seat, for taking it all in, at either of the parks along their route, so come on out and get a little Christmas Spirit at Weeki Wachee.
